Fall In Love With November

Something New For November:

This November we are shaking up things at Miniature Gardens by Donna!  We are introducing Miniature Gardens by Donna “Collaborations” It turns out that my family and friends have great ideas and the skills to go with the ideas.  Imagine beautiful coasters made from wood and resin.

William stains each set of coasters and tints them with resin stripes.  Then he dips each coaster in crystal clear resin that is food safe and can handle both hot and cold beverages.  He finishes the coasters aby adding cork to the backs of the coaster to protect the surfaces that you place them on.  Where would you ever find these beautiful coasters…introducing William Lockers Wood Shop.  Check out our shop here or at Etsy and our Facebook Shop.  They are extraordinary and you are going to love them!

This November we are introducing our new Collaboration with William Locker's Wood Shop

Gardening Tip:

It’s November and a great many gardens are already fast asleep. However, in warmer climates it’s not to late to propagate some of our herbs. Let’s pull back the leaves and mulch and see what is going on.  I have basil and rosemary and thyme, parsley and chives.  I know that basil, rosemary and thyme root easily in water.  If you are looking for an elegant way to root herbs, I recommend our Mid-Century Modern Plant Propagation stations.  For the parsley and chives, I will separate small segments of both and pot them up in a small planter.  I will cover the remaining herbs with leaves and mulch. Next spring my raised herb bed will be quite full.

This photo shows a stem of Basil being snipped with garden shears for propagation.
